Event Information
The 3rd Annual Adam Goldsmith Memorial Triathlon
will take place on Sunday, September 2nd at 8:00 am from the Lundgren
cottage at 94 Grenier Road (off Lord Rd). Registration is open
now through July 31st, but be sure to register early.
The swim
is a triangular shape course, approximately 1⁄2 mile in
length. The swim will start at the Lundgren’s beach, heading
out towards the island and back. There will be several volunteers
in kayaks and canoes along the course.
The mountain bike
ride is approximately 7.9 miles. The route follows Grenier Road,
Lord Road, Virginia Lane and Sparhawk Terr. and turns left into
the gravel pit. The gravel pit leads to a snowmobile trail, which
will loop around to Lord Road and back to the Lundgren’s.
We recommend that you or a member of your team have some experience
with mountain biking since there are sections of the trail that
are difficult (i.e., rocky with loose terrain). Please note that
we have received special permission from landowners to use their
property for the event. We kindly ask that you ride with care,
so we may continue using this property in the future.
The run
is a 2.6-mile loop from Grenier Road to Lord Road, turning onto
Old Camp Road and back to Lord Road. The run will finish on Grenier
Road at the Lundgren’s.
Participants are asked to arrive between 7:00 and
7:30 am to check in and set up their gear in the transition area.
Spectators are welcome, but parking is limited. For more information,
contact Erika Lee at 603-942-9814 or e-mail tri4adam@yahoo.com.

About Adam: The Adam Goldsmith
Memorial Triathlon began in 2005, when a group of family and
friends decided to organize a triathlon to raise money for
the P.R.P. Association and to remember a close friend who
lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident on June 4, 2005.
Adam was the grandson of the late Gladys Goldsmith and son
of Howard and Barbara Goldsmith of Olde Pine Road on Pine
River Pond. He was also the loving husband of Tera Goldsmith
and brother of Steven Goldsmith. This event is a special way
in which we can honor Adam and give something back to the
place he loved. |
